I totally agree this is a hole in the Delphi ADO/DB implementation. I had hoped we could offer this functionality in the first ADO release but there wasn't enough time (the fact that there is an entire product devoted to solving this problem should give you some clue as to how much work is involved). I cannot promise that we will be able to offer this support in the next release, but it is something we intend to look at. I don't know if this is any consolation, but I don't think VB supports the graphic images stored as OLE objects in access tables either. I may very well be wrong about that, but when I tried to hook up an image control to the Photo field of the Employee table in the Northwind database I got an error. Mark
